Keep Germs Out By Sealing Your Grout
As a part of every cleaning, we will apply a coat of durable sealant to your grout. When our trained staff applies the sealant, a barrier is created, minimizing the amount of dirt that is able to seep into the grout pores. This helps your grout stay cleaner, longer and maintenance is simple because dirt doesn’t penetrate deep into the cracks.

It is recommended that your tile, stone and grout be cleaned every 12-18 months to ensure long-lasting protection. Sparkling clean tile and stone looks better and is healthier for your family and pets. Tile and stone floors have become popular surfaces in work environments. Tile and stone is the floor covering of choice for foyers, kitchens, baths, utility rooms, and many other areas in hotels, office buildings, medical facilities, schools and churches. Like any other surface, these areas require ongoing daily, weekly, and/or monthly maintenance in the form of vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing. However, a toothbrush, some consumer-grade cleaners, lots of elbow grease, and a few hours of labor can only go so far.
Safest Process
Our tile and grout cleaners penetrate deeply into the porous surfaces of your tile and grout, removing soil and helping to eliminate mildew, fungus, and other contaminants. Our sealers also help resist contamination to leave your tile and grout as clean and healthy as possible. We provide not only the best tile and grout cleaning process available, but we make sure that these services are provided by a professional – not a technician, laborer, or janitor – who has the training, knowledge, and commitment unmatched in the industry to evaluate your tile and grout, identify your needs, and then select the proper products, tools, and equipment to deliver a result that far exceeds your expectations.

How We Do It
First Coast Carpet and In-Home Services technicians use special fiber pads embedded with tiny bits of diamonds. We use several “Grit” level pads to polish away the scratches and wear patterns for a perfect custom shine. Safer and Quicker Our polishing process does not use any harsh chemicals or messy powders which makes our process quicker, safer and less obtrusive than other methods.
Tile Materials We Polish
- Terrazzo – A composite material consisting of marble, quartz, granite, glass or other suitable chips, poured with a binder. Terrazzo is frequently polished to bring out the natural luster of the marble chips.
- Travertine – Similar to limestone in that it is sedimentary and is largely calcium. However, travertine contains voids in the surface that may be filled by plastic resins or grout. Over time such fillers may come out allowing the voids to be filled with soil Travertine will accept a polish resulting in a high, rich luster.
- Marble – A metamorphic stone that contains calcium carbonate. It can often be identified by veins of color running through the stone. Marble will take a high polish resulting in a highly reflective shine.
- Limestone – A sedimentary rock containing calcium carbonate. Limestone will typically take a high polish resulting in a beautiful luster.
Commercial Tile & Stone Cleaning
First Coast Carpet and In-Home Services we understand that your office is more than just a place to work: it’s an investment, an expression of who you are. You pay special attention to how it looks and you want it to look its best at all times. Natural stone, marble, and tile become worn and abraded due to normal foot traffic and abrasive soils. Many beverages are acidic in nature and will immediately etch the surface of the stone and appear as dull water spots or discolorations that can’t be wiped away. When the crystals in a stone surface become dull, the natural stone polish will begin to fade.
